Day 2 Bangkok/Kanchanaburi
Enjoy a klong boat tour of Bangkok including a visit to Wat Pho. Travel to Kanchanaburi and head to your floating rafthouse accommodation. Enjoy free time to explore.
Day 3 Kanchanaburi
Enjoy a day of sightseeing at Erawan Falls and the Bridge on the River Kwai.
Day 4 Kanchanaburi to Ayutthaya
Explore the Allied War Cemetery and the Thai-Burmese Railway Centre to learn more about the area's history. Travel to Ayutthaya and visit the historical sites of the old capital city. Opt to visit Chan Kasem National Museum and Chao Sam Phraya Museum.
Day 5 Ayutthaya to Chiang Mai
Spend a full day exploring Ayutthaya before boarding an overnight train to Chiang Mai.
Day 6 Chiang Mai
Arrive in Chiang Mai and explore the city. Visit Doi Suthep in the afternoon.
Day 7 Chiang Mai/Ban Mae Chok
Depart from Chiang Mai and head for the remote villages of Northern Thailand.
Day 8 Ban Mae Chok/Ban Pa Khao Lam
Trek for 3-4 hours after breakfast through rice and vegetable fields. After lunch continue on for 1-2 more hours to a Karen tribe's village.
Day 9 Ban Pa Khao Lam/Ban Muang Kut
Board a bamboo raft for an leisurely ride along the Mae Tang River. Meet some local Lahu people before heading to the Shan village for lunch.
Day 10 Ban Muang Kut/Chiang Mai
After breakfast, leave the hilltribe villages behind and head back to Chiang Mai with free time in the afternoon to explore.
Day 11 Chiang Mai/Bangkok
Enjoy another free day in Chiang Mai to experience more of this fun city before an overnight train to Bangkok.
Day 12 Bangkok
Head out and explore all you can in this sprawling city.
Day 13 Bangkok/Ko Klang
After a short flight to Krabi, head to a homestay on Koh Klang. Visit a local government-supported project to help build local communities, then relax and soak in the southern Thai culture.
Day 14 Ko Klang/Krabi
Travel by private boat to Ao Nang beach. From here, opt to sunbathe, kayak, snorkel, or dive. In the evening, enjoy the bars and restaurants in the area.
Day 15 Krabi
Spend the day in Krabi, exploring all the area has to offer.
Day 16 Krabi/Railay Beach
Stay one night in a guesthouse on Railay Beach. This area boasts plenty of activities such as sea kayaking, diving, snorkelling, jungle trekking, cooking, whitewater rafting and quad biking. Feel free to lounge on the beach, too.
Day 17 Railay Beach/Koh Lanta
Travel to Koh Lanta. Enjoy two days on one of the more tranquil beaches in the area. Opt to relax, snorkel or explore.
Day 18 Koh Lanta
Spend the day on Koh Lanta. Opt for a day trip to nearby Koh Rok.
Day 19 Koh Lanta/Krabi
After a lazy beach morning, transfer to the train station for an overnight train to Bangkok.
Day 20 Bangkok
Arrive at Bangkok station in the morning. Trip ends on arrival.
