Day 1 Puerto Maldonado/Tambopata
Arrive at Puerto Maldonado airport, meet your naturalist guide and journey to the jungle lodge. Spot wildlife en route to the lodge. Before dinner, head out for a night walk around the lodge.
Day 2 Tambopata
Enjoy guided excursions by expert naturalists to spot wildlife at nearby oxbow lakes and clay licks. Head upriver for an unforgettable camping experience.
Day 3 Tambopata
Stake out the clay lick to witness the sights and sounds of the macaws and parrots feeding on the minerals and salts of the clay. Explore the area, hiking different trails, with the naturalist guide.
Day 4 Tambopata
Return to the lodge and hike to an Oxbow lake, rich in bird and aquatic life. In the evening go searching for caiman (alligators) and other nocturnal animals by canoe along the Tambopata River.
Day 5 Tambopata
Take a boat excursion to a spectacular hidden lake. There's a chance to spot the elusive black caiman and giant otters. Return for lunch and another free afternoon for relaxing.
Day 6 Tambopata/Puerto Maldonado
After breakfast, return by canoe to Puerto Maldonado and transfer to the airport for departure.
