Hidden away in 52 acres of beautiful tropical grounds, GoldenEye’s exclusive private estate incorporates a pristine stretch of coast, secluded beaches, extensive gardens and the calm waters of a natural lagoon. James bond author, Ian Fleming, built a very simple home here in the 1950’s, but today’s GoldenEye is modern, luxurious and simply stunning. This iconic hotel offers contemporary accommodation and state-of-the-art facilities whilst still preserving the romance of its illustrious past.
Airport TransferApproximately 90 minutes from both Montego Bay and Kingston Airports.
LocationIn the village of Oracabessa Bay on the north coast.
AccommodationThe 48 beautiful cottages and villas are set either on the beach or at the edge of the lagoon. The bright and airy Beach and Lagoon Villas are all unique, and have either one or two bedrooms designed in a contemporary Caribbean style. Each has ample living space and features a king size bed, air conditioning, a flat screen TV, Sonos sound system, complimentary WiFi, a fully-equipped kitchen and a private outdoor rain shower. The secluded Lagoon Cottages extend out over the lagoon and have large, shaded verandahs offering direct access to the water. Located on the opposite side of the property, GoldenEye’s 26 colourful Beach Huts are clustered around a quiet snorkelling cove and just steps from the resort’s second beach. Each free-standing Beach Hut features high ceilings, air conditioning, over-sized louvred windows and a stylish but authentically-Jamaican design. For larger groups or wedding parties, we highly recommend the Fleming Villa, which consists of Ian Fleming’s original three-bedroom home, two one-bedroom guest cottages, a private swimming pool and a sunken garden with outdoor dining area and access to an exclusive private beach.
Restaurants And BarsThe two main restaurants serve fabulous Jamaican and international cuisine. The informal Bizot Bar is located just steps from the beach and offers breakfast, lunch, snacks, inventive cocktails and a weekly BBQ. Built in an open-air tree house-style, The Gazebo is an upscale restaurant for dinner only, overlooking Low Cay Beach and the lagoon, and serving a range of dishes from grilled lobster tail to seasoned rack of lamb, complemented by an international wine list. Over by the Beach Huts, you can relax at the rustic Bamboo Bar and Grill, serving delicious Jamaican Jerk BBQ along with grilled fish straight from the sea. Or head to the super-relaxed Shabeen by the pool for cocktails and drinks with panoramic views of the sea.
