Days 1 - 3 Fly from London Heathrow to San Francisco and spend three days exploring the city at your own pace, taking in famous sights such as the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz. You’ll stay at the Loews Regency, which we love for its expansive spa and excellent central location. Days 4 & 5 Take the short drive from the city to the rolling hills of Napa Valley. There are plenty of wine tastings to enjoy here, and the charming town of Santa Helena has some lovely boutiques if you want to indulge in some souvenir shopping. You’ll spend two nights at the exclusive Auberge Du Soleil. Days 6 & 7 Hit the road and head south on the famous Pacific Coast Highway. Enjoy the scenic 4-hour drive, stopping for lunch at the seaside town of Monterey before arriving at the Big Sur where you can watch sea lions play in the surf or hike inland through ancient redwood forests. Two nights at the Post Ranch Inn will give you time to take advantage of the many activities on offer here. Day 8 Continue south to Santa Barbara, often referred to as the American Riviera. Explore the town or take a whale watching excursion into the bay before overnighting at the iconic Belmond El Encanto. Days 9 - 11 Two hours further south and you’ll arrive at Santa Monica, a great base for exploring LA. Spend three nights at The Fairmont Miramar, an excellent beachfront resort within easy reach of all the famous Los Angeles attractions.
