The 11 bedrooms are very well furnished and are set around a flower-filled courtyard (most are split level, all have Colonial-style ceiling fans). There is a beautiful sitting room, a dining room (the quality of the cooking is exceptional) an air-conditioned library with TV, gardens, and an open-air swimming pool with sun terraces. Three Casitas have been built in the Hacienda’s grounds. Each is air-conditioned and has a bedroom, a separate living room, a bathroom with separate shower and a private garden. There is an additional swimming pool which is for the exclusive use of those staying in the Casitas. Supplement: £90 per person per night. The Hacienda is ideal for exploring southern Andalucia: Ronda (with its famous gorge); the pueblos blancos (white villages); Seville, Jerez and Cadiz. A trip to the extraordinarily beautiful Coto Doñana – the largest national park in Europe, and home to a wide variety of wildlife – can be arranged.
