Set at the foot of lush green hills with views out towards the island of Elba , this tranquil oasis which has been restored and renovated to palatial charm was once the hunting lodge of the Duke Leopold in the 16th Century and is set in 1,200 acres of olive groves, vineyards and fruit orchards. Renowned chef Enrico Bartolini has recently arrived at L'Andana from Milan where his restaurant Mudec won two Michelin stars. His dishes include many ingredients grown in the hotel's own garden. All 33 rooms are beautifully decorated using terra-cotta Italian silks, stylishly modern and antique furniture and hardwood floors and have plenty of rustic charm. Facilities include an ESPA spa, a swimming pool, tennis court and a three hole pitch and put golf course. Hotel closed in January and February.
